7 pm - Snare building demonstration by Rick Ellis
7:40 pm - Meeting called to order by President, Steve Schafer
Treasurer's report given by Jamie Bragg.  Rick Ellis moved to accept the report.  Seconded by Steve Schafer.  Passed unanimously.

 - Need new chairman for Mat-Su Sportsman show (Lucas Cavet had to bow out for personal reasons).    Mike Buirge (907-354-3604) volunteered to chair the committee.  Anyone interested in helping man the table, please contact Mike to volunteer.

- By-Laws - Rick Ellis moved to accept the By-Laws as submitted by the By-laws committee, with two minor corrections.  Article IX, D, last sentance changed to read "All new or amended revisions to the By-Laws will be available for review by the membership at the next general meeting and posted on the AFTA website.  Article X, E, typo correcting "ATA" to read "AFTA".  Seconded by Derek Hahn.  Passed unanimously.

- Rendezvous dinner/auction ( June 8th at Evangelo's restaurant) - Next committee meeting to be held December 20th, 6:30 pm at the Denali Restaurant on the Parks highway.

- AOAA club life membership - Rick Ellis moved for the AFTA to purchase a club life membership in the AOAA, not to exceed $500.  Jeff Tuttle seconded.  Passed unanimously.


- By-Laws amendment proposed - Jeff Tuttle moved to strike Article XI, Section 2, Paragraph D.  Passed unanimously.

- By-Laws amendment proposed - Kyle Wait moved to create an "Affiliate" membership.  Seconded by Jeff Tuttle.  Discussion included suggestions for rates:  Annual affiliation at 4 times the annual adult membership ("with magazine" rate) and Life Affiliation at 2 times the individual life member rate.  Passed unanimously. 

- By-Laws amendment proposed - Rick Ellis moved to create a "Business" membership.  Les Copeland seconded.  Discussion included suggestions for rate: Same price as individual membership with both magazines (currently $40).  Benefits to include magazine subscription, a link (click-through) on the AFTA website and a member decal.  Passed unanimously.

- Mat-Su F&G Advisory committee member Mike Buirge gave a report on upcoming BOG proposals affecting trapping, including a bunch of anti-bear snaring proposals.  Mike, Jeff Tuttle and Dave Young will make recommendations to President Steve Schafer regarding which proposals we should take positions on.  Steve will confer with the other AFTA officers and then draft the AFTA position statements on AFTA letterhead and submit to the BOG.

- By-Laws amendment proposed - Rick Ellis moved to change Article I, Section 3, last sentence, to read: "A majority (3 must be present, either in person or via electronic means (telephone, video conferencing, etc.), one of which must be the President or Vice President) of the principal officers shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of any official association business.  Seconded by Kyle Wait.  Passed unanimously.
