Did it show up?
Short story, I didn't leave the gun at home and this guy was tending two does in a huge wheat stubble field.
Once in a lifetime for me.

Kirk,
Awesome buck!  Seems they grow a lot bigger in snow country! Smiley  Congratulations!

From our Caribou hunt this fall.

They fell about 100 feet apart.

Got to love that early fall caribou hunting.  No frozen fingers or frostbite on the face.  Congratulations!

Is that a kenai mts. hunt?  I heard that was the best way to get them, by horse.
At least someone in the organization connected.   Actually I know Dusty did.  Maybe he was just to busy to put up his pics.

No, this was unit 13.  I have hunted the Killey River herd though up between the
Killey and Tustemena with horses once and it was a good trip.  But unit 13 is good
horse country and I've hunted up there quite a bit the last 7 or 8 years.

I agree Rick, that is a good time to hunt. The bulls are  just out of velvet but
haven't started the rut yet, so the meat's still good (and the weather's not so cold).
